Bought one of these back in November and all went a bit quiet on the mouse front after I did. However, after some recent activity in the kitchen, I set it up in there yesterday with some strawberry jam on the (holed) backplate and an Oatibix biscuit on the gap between the second and third charging plates.

I bought this machine in the hope that the rats would be killed and my house would be safe - given that I have a 5 months infant. However, after weeks of waiting, I notice that the bait is gone and the rat droppings are still very much visible. I read other reviews and realized that middle plate is the one that emits shock. What more can you say? Ok the batteries are a pain to fit but when you eventually do it works a treat.
You can rid yourselves of the problem in a humane way and no mess so you don't have to come down to a decapitated body in the morning.
I was dubious at first but out of desperation had to get this device as we are plagued with mice.
