Rating: - Worth the effort!
Very good, after struggling with the software. I had to maually download the scanner. Veho help site useless, no mention of this model that I could find. A good product let down by it's software and customer service.
My results excellent after processing with Windows Picture Gallery. I have Vista.Dennis.

Couldn't install the software (tried on 2 different computers).Sent back to Amazon for a refund. Avoid.

They are cheap because they work very badly or not at all. If you do not have a USB 2.0 connection, it will not work at all! They are very poorly made and will break easily. A complete waste of my money.
Rating: - Poor quality scans
The product is very easy to use, no question about that - well despite a few installation issues. However the quality of the scans is very flawed. Compared to scanning the prints of the same photos, the negs appear much poorer in quality and the colourisation of the images borders on psychedelic, which is a real let down.
This could be a really good product but it falls down on the most important area in my opinion.
Rating: - Poor quality pictures & Keeps breaking down
first one was faulty and was replaced by Amazon. The replacement frequently stopped working until the next day and the picture quality of scanned slides was very poor. Many that were only very slightly dark came out almost completely black or with only the subject on a black background.
I have now given up and returned it to Amazon for a refund. I'm going to stick to my old flatbed scanner with a slide attachment. It's much slower but the results are much more acceptable.
