Series six does not reallly measure up to the high standards Spooks has set. First of all, visually it's much more conventional than the earlier series. But stories and characters were always Spooks' strongest assets. The stories are just not as gripping as they used to be and they seem to be running out of ideas. The three-star rating applies to a comparison with past series of this programme, not to television dramas in general.
This series takes different approach to those in the past - the story line is continuous, as opposed to self-contained episodes in the past. However the meaning of each episode is cumulative and so to understand what is happening in a current episode one has to have a good memory of what had happened in previous ones. I love spooks they have never made a bad episode from season 1 to season 6, already cant wait for season 7.

Rating: - Sppoks 6 - superb
We have just finished watching Spooks 6 DVD set. As always, Spooks has you wanting to watch more because the story lines are intriguing and the action never stops. The only downside is the ending of the series - we now have to wait for Series 7 to see what happens and that is all I am going to say so it does not spoil the enjoyment.
With living in Poland, we can only watch Spooks using DVDs. When is Spooks 7 going to be released.

Rating: - Compulsive viewing
Riveting television, Spooks 6 is must see spy on spy action. Directors, writers and actors are all masters of the art of rising tension. Shifting alliances, plot reversals and twist upon twist, this is the best thriller series I've seen for a long time hands down.

What I love about this show is just when you think you've got each episode pinned, bang, something comes along to turn your prediction on its head. Wonderful performances from the central cast as well, but one to watch of the 'drop ins' ... Read More
