Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - Great Music Ruined By Bad Sound Quality!!!
I don't want to write in depth about the music on this album (maybe Matallica's best for 20 years) because you won't be able to fully appreciate it because of the truly shocking and utterly appalling sound quality of this CD. Why? Well, if you haven't heard already, the mixing/mastering engineer responsible for this album used extreme DYNAMIC RANGE COMPRESSION on this music in a misguided attempt to make it sound "louder". Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Excellent album from a yet again excellent band.
This album is packed fun of track after track of excellent songs. The album is raw and underproduced which lead to ... Read More

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Awesome
This CD is awesome and I can't see why anyone thinks it is bad. Cyanide, All Nightmare Long and The Day That Never Comes are my favourites. It was Kerrang's album of the year as well so it must be good.

Rock on!!

There is nothing wrong with the production or sound, in my opinion its very clear and well produced, each song sounds as its supposed to, i mean what are you expecting a metallica album to sound like exactly with all the moaning about the ... Read More
