Unfortunately, whilst the product looks okay, it does not work together with the Wii remote. The Wii sensor is covered thus making it useless.

Same here, they just don't work. My sons were so diappointed and wondered why Santa didn't try it before he gave it to them. Try to explain that to a child on Christmas morning. I don't understand how a company can sell a product that doesn't work. I can't return them because the packaging was thrown away with the all the gift wrapping. So they are just sitting there collecting dust. Last time I buy anything from them.

This product looks good and the lights glow well, however, the infra red sensor in the wii remote is covered and therefore does not allow you to play the game properly.
Returning for refund and now have to find a replacement pressie for my partner!!!

I bought these sabers for my clan to use with the Clone Wars (Lightsaber Duel) and Soul Calibre Wii games. The build quality of sabers themselves is excellent and each has a substantial feel to it, being well-balanced and comfortable in the hand. If you want to use your Wii remote inserted into the light sabre don't buy this product. The infra-red is blocked by the housing of the sabre so you have to take your remote out to make it effective with the game. It DOESN'T say this on the box, but it is in the instruction book - not very useful when you are purchasing as a gift.
The sabres light up well and look good if only they had made them so the remote actually worked whilst housed within the sabre.
